crime in stereo..is dead

So, instead of reading Chuck Palanuick's, Rant. Im gonna end up reading Dial M for Monster, by Steve Niles. Steve Niles wrote a few comic books that got pretty popular, the main being 30 days of night, which translated into a major motion picture, with a sequel in the works. I've read a few of the comics and really appreciated the edge and flair to both the artwork and story line, hopefully it transitions well into a novel.
Dial M for Monster though follows anti hero Cal McDonald who is a detective but instead of normal people, monsters that the rest of the world ignores day in and day out. I already love the concept that this story expresses that the supernatural does slip into the cracks in reality and people simply ignore it. Oh yeahh, Cal McDonald is like a badass loser drunk druggie, I cant even think of another perfect hero haaa
